Faith Builders History

Faith Builders adult mission group,
is an informal group that began in 2008
and traveled to Slidell, Louisiana for their first mission trip. 

Faith Builders worked with Habitat for Humanity
in the recovery effort following Hurricane Katrina. 

The group returned to Slidell four more times, Bay St. Louis,
Mississippi, three trips to Minot, North Dakota and
3 trips to Texas working in Houston, Galveston, and San Antonio.

Faith Builders also helped with local painting and house repair. 

Over the years we have assisted several senior citizens
move from their house to apartment living. 

Our fund-raising efforts have allowed us to donate
to several charities.

Faith Builders includes members from other congregations
and other communities. 

Many volunteers come together each year to help serve a
banquet on Thanksgiving Day. 

We have had a variety of fund raisers and one of
the most successful has been barn quilts. 
We raised enough to buy a newer bus.
 
The Barn Quilts continue to generate interest and sales.
